Parent Governors

There are three parent governors: Mr Hardstaff, Mr Smith, and Mr Bradshaw.

Parent governors support the work of the governing body in a variety of ways but particularly help to monitor and evaluate the quality of the school's provision.

If you're interested in becoming a parent governor please contact school.

Parenting Support

Being a parent is very rewarding but can be challenging. Children don't come with an instruction manual and sometimes 'on-the-job' training isn't the best way to learn.

If you feel you'd benefit from some support please contact Mrs Holmes (01204 333545) who can arrange this for you.

Home-School Communication

We try very hard to ensure that all parents are kept fully informed of their child's development. There are a number of ways this is achieved:

  • Teachers2Parents text messaging service;
  • Teachers2Parents email service;
  • Termly parents' evening;
  • Termly reports.

If you'd like to discuss any issue with your child's class teacher please wait until the end of the school day, or make an appointment to see them.

Complaints

Complaints at Lord Street are quite rare. However, if you wish to make a complaint there are three simple steps:

Step 1 - discuss the issue with the class teacher
Step 2 - discuss the matter with a member of the senior leadership team
Step 3 - contact the Chair of Governors (Mrs O. Fairhurst)

For full information please refer to our Complaints Policy.
